Description

This 1961 Mercedes Benz 190SL comes finished in white DB050 over black leather upholstery and underwent a cosmetic and mechanical work in the past 5 years. In October of 2024, the brake cylinders were replaced, brake hoses etc… with over $4,000 in receipts including a full service.

This example features a black convertible soft top and no hard top. It rides on 13” factory wheels with paint-matched Mercedes-Benz hubcaps.

All gauges and accessories are working properly.

The car is currently running with new Weber carburetors that were installed in 2021. The original Solex carburetors and additional parts will come with the sale along with all service records.

The Mercedes 190SL was officially introduced at the 1954 New York Auto Show.

According to factory figures, 25,881 190SL’s were produced from 1955 to 1963. Production peaked in 1956 at 4,032 cars and 1963 saw the least number produced, 104. About 50 percent of the total number of 190SL’s produced are estimated to survive, and restoration promises to preserve them.
